The Indigenous Prosperity Foundation (IPF) proudly welcomes Keith Matthew, a distinguished leader and former Chief of the Simpcw First Nation, to its inaugural Board of Directors. With a proven track record in economic development, governance, and community leadership, Keith brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to fostering economic self-sufficiency and empowerment for Indigenous communities across Canada.
As the CEO of Seklep Business Services and a former Chief of the Simpcw First Nation, Keith has dedicated his career to advancing economic opportunities and advocating for the prosperity of Indigenous peoples. During his tenure as Chief, Keith was pivotal in negotiating agreements that brought significant economic benefits to his community, including partnerships with major companies like Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing and West Fraser.
Keith's dedication to community service extends beyond his role as Chief, as evidenced by his involvement in various organizations. He has served as President of the Community Futures Development Corporation of Central Interior First Nations, Director for the Simpcw Health Board, and Chair for the Simpcw Resources Ltd. Additionally, Keith has held leadership roles in organizations such as the TULO Centre of Indigenous Economics, Thompson Rivers University, and the Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Association of B.C.
As a Board Director of the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation, Keith deeply understands economic development, governance, and community needs. His experience negotiating agreements and fostering partnerships will be invaluable in advancing the mission of the IPF to create a thriving and inclusive Indigenous economy rooted in Indigenous values.

Established by the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association in partnership with Indigenous Financial Institutions across Canada as an independent charitable organization, the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation is committed to providing training, mentorship, digital access, and funding opportunities to underserved Indigenous entrepreneurs while building capacity across the Indigenous entrepreneurship ecosystem.
